FUSE is thrilled to announce our investment in Lumen Orbit (YC S24)'s $11M seed round led by NFX. It has been a pleasure to get to know Philip Johnston, Ezra Feilden, Adi Oltean as they’ve embarked on their journey building data centers in space.

As AI model training has caused investment in data centers and the energy to power them to skyrocket, the world needs novel approaches to powering these data centers. Lumen will be hosting cutting edge GPUs onboard their satellites, powered by large scale solar panel arrays that capitalize on the zero cost of uncapped electricity in space, with first launch slated for mid-2025.
